Shipping

  • Orders are typically delivered within 24 hours and may take up to 72 hours in more remote areas or due to unforeseen delays (courier or weather issues).
  • Orders ship from Monday through Thursday only. Orders to remote areas may not ship on Thursdays to allow sufficient delivery time before the weekend.
  • We do not ship on Fridays or weekends.
  • We work extremely hard to get your order out the same day it is received.
  • In general, orders received before 3:00 PM EST Monday through Thursday* will be processed the same day. Orders received after the cutoff time may ship the same day at our sole discretion.

*We may, at our discretion, not ship orders on Thursday if we feel like it may not be delivered on Friday with a very high degree of certainty, given the nature of the products

We currently do not offer deliveries on Saturday or Sunday. If you need your order for the weekend, we recommend ordering no later than Wednesday before 3:00 PM EST.

You will be emailed your tracking details automatically once your order ships. You can also find your tracking details in Your Account or by contacting our team.

  • Get in touch with our team to specify the date you would like to receive your order on and we will delay the shipment accordingly.
  • Please note that we will try our best to ensure your order arrives on the specified day but we can never guarantee it nor can we guarantee a specific delivery time.
  • We recommend getting the order earlier if it is for an event or to have it shipped somewhere else if you are concerned about not being there to receive it.

All orders ship with Purolator Express, but we may use UPS or Canada Post at our sole discretion.

We do not process or ship orders on National or Provincial (Quebec) holidays.

We may delay the shipment of your order the day before or after a holiday, at our sole discretion, to ensure that it can be delivered fresh and safe to consume.

We do not ship to P.O. boxes.

We currently only ship within Canada. Subscribe to our newsletter to find out when we launch new international markets.

Orders

  • Orders are packed in temperature-controlled boxes or envelopes with ice packs to keep them cool during their journey.
  • If your ice pack(s) arrive unfrozen or if your order is sitting in front of your doorsteps all day, it is perfectly fine. Simply refrigerate your order as soon as possible.

If any part of your order arrived damaged, please take pictures (or videos) and contact our team immediately.

  • Orders that have not been processed yet may be cancelled free of charge.
  • Processed orders awaiting shipment may be cancelled. A $15 fee will apply.
  • Orders that have been processed and shipped cannot be cancelled or modified.

To cancel an eligible order, please contact us.

Storing & Preserving

  • Refrigerate between -2º and 2º (28 to 36 Fahrenheit)
  • Sealed jars or tins can be stored for 3 to 6+ months (see expiration date)
  • Opened jars or tins may be resealed and refrigerated - consume within 48 hours
  • Product may be frozen to preserve longer if needed (not recommended)

Opened jars or tins may be resealed and refrigerated, but must be consumed within 48 hours. Always smell the product before consuming to ensure it has not spoiled.

If the smell or texture doesn't seem right, we recommend disposing of the jar or tin.

You can freeze sturgeon caviar or fish roe to preserve it longer if the tin or jar is unopened and sealed. Freezing caviar or fish roe will impact the taste and texture of the eggs. We don't recommend doing so unless absolutely necessary.

  • Products should be stored in a cool and dry place
  • Certain truffle products may require refrigeration - consult product label
  • Sealed products can be stored for 3 to 6+ months (see expiration date)
  • Products may be frozen to preserve longer if needed (not recommended)

Exchange & Returns

  • All food sales of perishable items on CaviarHub are FINAL SALE for public and health safety reasons. Returns and exchanges will not be accepted.
  • All sturgeon caviar, caviar, fish roe, truffle products, and other food products cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • All other products can be returned within 30 days of the purchase date in their original condition and packaging.
  • CaviarHUB.ca does not cover return shipping costs.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition and packaging that you received it.

To exchange an item, simply order the new item you desire and request to return the item you no longer desire. Non-refundable / final sale items cannot be exchanged.
